The
Naval Academy Aquatic Club offers year-round training for
roughly 250 boys and girls ages six through 18. The club is
staffed by 15 professional coaches and uses the expansive and
modern aquatic
facilities of the
United States Naval Academy, which is located in
Annapolis Maryland.
NAAC’s overriding goal is to have each member reach
his or her athletic potential while learning such life skills as
dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Both the swim team
and the
water polo team are organized into progressive training
groups that provide instruction and conditioning appropriate to
each athlete’s age and skill level.
The club has enjoyed much success over
its 30-year history. Former members include many
Division I
college scholarship swimmers and water polo players,
including a 1996 Olympic
double gold medalist.
Please browse through
this website to find out more about the club. If you have any
questions, contact Tom
Slear, the head swim coach, or Mike Schofield, the overall program
director and the head water polo coach.
